Abstract

From the Social Sciences it is necessary to continue reflecting, discussing and generating knowledge about the problems, needs or experiences that COVID-19 generated in society, hence this summary aims to show the results of an investigation carried out with Social Work professionals who work in Health System in the most complex pandemic times. This research is based on the theory of resilience and the theory of the family. The objective of the research was to know the family experiences related to adversity and resilience during COVID-19 of Social Work professionals from the Health System in Ciudad Victoria and Reynosa, Tamaulipas. The methodology used was qualitative, in-depth interviews were developed and carried out during confinement. Among the main results, it can be mentioned that both Social Workers and their families presented fear, threats, health disorders, complex changes in family organization, in daily activities and the development of resilient alternatives to cope with the situation. It is concluded by saying that the COVID-19 pandemic caused rarely seen disorders in Social Work professionals in the Health System and it had important impacts on their family dynamics.
